After the post-Spa politicking involving the Toyota team making it clear that they felt the diesel/ petrol performance balance was out of kilter the FIA Endurance Committee has dealt both hybrid and non hybrid-powered petrol-fuelled LMP1 cars a further 3 litres of fuel capacity.
That gives the Toyota TS030 a 76 litre tank, the remaining non hybrid privateers, Strakka and Rebellion meanwhile will have an 80 litre fuel capacity.
That compares to the 58 litres for the diesel hybrid Audi R18 e-tron quattros,
An earlier raft of changes saw Porsche dealt a power increase with the new, factory run new 911 RSR dealt a 0.3 mm restrictor increase.
The same change will also apply to Pro and Am 911 GT3 RSR (997) machines.
The GTE Pro Aston Martin Vantage GTEs meanwhile have been dealt a 10kg weight penalty.
No FIA mandated changes will apply to the Ferrari’s, Corvettes or Vipers.
