More Announcements For Baku World Challenge, Marc VDS Reveals Livery
Two weeks before the Baku World Challenge by Aztexnika more drivers are being confirmed for the remaining seats in the FIA GT Series finale on the streets of Baku, Azerbaijan. The time table for the event has also been changed, although the two races are still scheduled to be held on Sunday. And last but not least one special livery was revealed today by Marc VDS Racing Team.
The updated time table now shows the warm up session starting at 8 am. Unfortunately the fact that it finishes 25 minutes before the pit lane opens for the first race could result in empty streets on Sunday morning. As we have witnessed in the past in the American Le Mans Series team prefer to sit out warm up rather than damaging a car and not making it to the start of the race.
BMW Sports Trophy Team Marc VDS revealed its livery for Baku today, the BMW Z4 GT3 sporting a rather nice ICE Watch livery in Azerbaijan.
Jan Stovicek and Petr Charouz will race the #3 HTP Gravity Charouz Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 in Baku, while Federico Leo will replace Michele Rugolo alongside Claudio Sdanewitsch in the #50 AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia. Both cars are entered in the Gentlemen Trophy category of the FIA GT Series.
Meanwhile DSC understands the final entry will see 29 cars with the two Sport Garage Ferrari’s not making the trip to Azerbaijan. MRS GT Racing on the other hand will be in Baku, as the official FIA GT Series twitter account today showed “Very exciting driver line up for @MolitorRacing at Baku. But you will have to wait a little longer. Potential race winners for sure #BakuGT”.
