Having secured the Supercar Challenge (Super GT) title in 2013, Jim Geddie will once more team up with United Autosports as he returns for an assault on the Bute Motorsport GT Cup in his McLaren MP4-12C.
“I am really excited to be joining United Autosports again for another great championship,” said the Scot. “We worked well together to win the European Supercar Challenge last year, so we are looking forward to facing another new challenge in 2014. I’m itching to get out in the car again, it seems ages since I last raced so testing can’t come soon enough.”
With son Glynn – co-champion with him of both the Supercar Challenge and the 2011 British GT Championship – concentrating on something called the BTCC (nope, me neither) with United, 2014 could well see Jim land his first solo title since he became Scottish Saloon & Sports Car champion in Class A in 2005.
“To have Jim back with us for another year is great news,” said United Autosports MD Richard Dean. “Last year was a fantastic achievement, winning the Supercar Challenge with Jim and Glynn, so hopefully we can continue the good form throughout this year.”
