Aston Martin Racing boss John Gaw will move over to Oulton Park for tomorrow’s on-track action in the British GT Championship before returning to Silverstone on Sunday, then back to Oulton for Monday’s BGT race.
Paul Dalla Lana confirmed to DSC today that he is committed to a full season in the FIA WEC, the Canadian’s TUSCC outings though are likely now to be restricted to the two remaining rounds of the NAEC though Turner Motorsport are looking set to continue with Dane Cameron and Markus Palttala in GTD. Dalla Lana will not continue in the Continental Tire Sportscar challenge.
Elsewhere in TUSCC DSC believes that we are set to hear of another high profile team withdrawing from the Championship as early as Monday or Tuesday – It’s also believed that ESM are the launch customer team for new HPD ARX 04b LMP2 coupe with two cars apparently on order.
Enzo Potolicchio meanwhile has told the Radio Le Mans crew that he may have to reconsider bringing his new Ligier LMP2 coupe to TUSCC if the current Balance of Performance between the P2 machines and DPs is not addressed.
Closer to home we expect to hear in the next few days too that a further car will be withdrawn from the full entry list for the 2014 Le Mans 24 Hours. If that comes to pass then the current first reserve, the #76 GTE Am Porsche 997 GT3 RSR will be elevated to the list proper.
