Karl Mauer new sole manager of the VLN.
It has clearly been a week of some upheaval behind closed doors at the VLN.
Just over a week after the announcement that former marketing and communications Director Karl Mauer had stepped down, the popular figure has been confirmed by a shareholders meeting as overall Managing Director of the Series.
He is joined on the governing body, which oversees the involvement of a large number of separate sporting clubs and bodies in the hugely popular Nordschliefe Series, by Peter Bröcher as SPorting Director and the retain administrative Director Dietmar Busch.
The changes come as a result of a change in the legal framework surrounding the VLN from a company constituted under civil law to a general partnership and see Rolf Krimpmann, Chairman of the Shareholders, as well as his deputy Bernd Burkhardt step down from the governing body.
“I very much regret that Rolf Krimpmann and Bernd Burkhardt are no longer the new VLN management team available after years of extremely successful work on the board with their experience,” commented Karl Mauer.
“Your commitment was an important contribution to the positive development of the VLN in recent years. To stabilize this development and to lead to a sustainable basis is the goal I have set for myself. I am glad that I be able to count on the support of Peter Bröcher and Dietmar Busch, who have already taken leadership responsibilities in the VLN in the past. “
