SVK by Speed Factory Racing have this morning been announced as the second buyers for a Ginetta Juno LMP3 car, destined for a full 2015 ELMS programme with the team intending to purchase a second car before Christmas.
Switching from the Radical Masters Euro series, the Spanish Speed Factory Racing team have partnered with Latvian outfit SVK Racing, to form the collaborative new team, SVK by Speed Factory Racing, which has already confirmed two of its drivers as Konstantin Calko and Jesus Fuster Pliego.
Team Manager Dalius Steponavicius:
“Our new cooperation with Latvian SVK Racing allowed us to progress a relationship with Ginetta-Juno. We believe we can develop a strong and successful team through this collaboration thanks to the purchase of the Ginetta-Juno LMP3 car, and we already have a strong driver-line up for the first car, and we are in detailed discussions with several other drivers and hope to be in a position to finalize the driver line-up shortly.”
“I am very happy to announce that in 2015 I will become very first Latvian driver to race in ELMS, and come closer to my life goal of competing in the Le Mans 24 Hours. Over the last three years, I have had incredible time with the Speed Factory Racing team achieving, winning the Radical European Masters in 2012 and vice-champion in 2013, and now we are ready to go higher.”
Established by Lithuanian rally driver, Dalius Steponavicius, in 2008, Speed Factory Racing Team was most successful team in Radical Masters Euro series with wins of driver´s titles in 2008, 2009 and they are looking to bring that success with them to ELMS.
