Ginetta promised a total of five Ginetta Nissan LM3s for the Silverstone ELMS opener and by the look of things in the paddock this afternoon things seem well on track for that to happen.
The car we saw at the Paul Ricard test hasn’t turned a wheel since as the entire Ginetta workforce has been working hard to pull together the customer cars in time for this weekend. There have been some minor aero updates though, now built in to all of the cars.
The car is in almost full Nissan NISMO livery now with Chris Hoy and Charlie Robertson looking very proud of their new charge as the car made its way through the scrutineering bay this afternoon.
Next up was the first customer car, the Team RLR, University of Bolton machine, Jens Petersen and Rob Garofall are set to campaign this car, Rob having had an endurance race already to get here after a French air traffic control strike left him having to drive home from Spain yesterday.
The car arrived on Tuesday and the team have done a great jog to get the car’s full livery applied here at the track, the car passing through scrutineering this afternoon.
Next up is the second LNT car, Gaetan Paletou steering the car to the scrutineering bay, livery still to be applied but the car complete.
As too is the first SVK by Speed Factory car, the #15 car arriving today with the team.
By the time we’re back here tomorrow the fifth car, this the Lanan Racing Ginetta, should have made it from Garforth, it has been lots of late nights and cups of Yorkshire tea. But LMP3 is go!
