It’s that time of year again, all the teams are set up in the paddock ready for the Test on Sunday and the long, hard race week that follows.
Nissan’s three cars are looking very much at home in their pit boxes, with the team continuing its preparations for the big public debut.
Le Mans is always a good place to showcase a flashy livery, and there are some very striking looking cars taking part in this year’s edition of the French classic. Due to French laws preventing teams from advertising alcoholic beverages, Extreme Speed Motorsport has had to resort to a completely fresh paint scheme.
Its pair of Ligiers look great in Rolling Stone black and white.
Down in the GTE ranks are some more faces making up the American invasion of the event, and this year fans will no doubt be excited to see the usual pair of yellow Corvettes looking much the same as last year (though that is by no means a bad thing!).
Riley Motorsports is also ready to roll with its GTE-Am Viper. The Viper GTS-R has unfinished business at La Sarthe, especially after being very much on the pace with the best GTLM runners in the United Sportscar Championship when the SRT factory effort came to an end at the end of last season.
And it wouldn’t be Le Mans nowadays without an armada of immaculately turned out red Ferraris….
Look out for further notes when the full DSC team arrive at the circuit tomorrow morning bright and early, as we prepare for the ‘weigh-in’ before the 24.
