Several cars on the entry for today’s 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours have had grid penalties imposed:
In LMP The ByKolles CLM and Nissan’s trio of GT-R LM NISMO’s will start behind the majority of the LMP2 field after all drivers in all four cars fell short of the 110% class qualifying minimum (3:36.575).
The LMP1 cars will start ahead of the #45 Ibanez Racing Oreca Nissan which has also been relegated after Pierre Perret failed to better the qualifying minima but will still be permitted to race.
In GTE the #71 AF Corse Ferrari F458 Italia and #68 Team AAI Porsche 911 RSR will start from the rear of the GT field after Olivier Beretta and and Han-Chen Chen failed to hit the GTE minimum time.
Team AAI meanwhile had some good news with the final components required for the rebuild of the #67 Porsche 997 GT3 RSR delivered late last night (the car was ready to take part in race warm-up this morning.
The #50 Larbre Corvette will, we believe, be shipped to the United States after the race, the factory team requiring the chassis as an immediate replacement for the written off #63 (they do not have a current spec spare).
