We’ve already heard about the trio of drivers nominated by the FIA WEC to receive ‘rookie’ tests at Bahrain International Circuit on Sunday 22 November.
Sam Bird will test with Toyota Gazoo Racing, Mitch Evans with Porsche and Richie Stanaway with Audi Sport.
We have written too of Porsche’s plan to add Juan Pablo Montoya to the testing roster on the same day.
Now there’s provisional entry list for several other teams set to join the factory LMP1s on track.
Team ByKolles will test with as yet unnamed new drivers in the AER engined CLM.
From LMP2, Signatech Alpine will test French-born British driver, Matthew Rao, former Formula Ford Championship winner and British F3 Championship runner up Rao tested for SARD Morand at the post Le Mans Nurburgring test.
Strakka Racing will test Scotsman Lewis Williamson, former GP3 race winner and UK Formula Renault Championship runner-up.
Joining these two teams will be Team SARD Morand, AF Racing, which is making its debut in the WEC in the 6 Hours of Bahrain, and KCMG.
Two Porsche Team Manthey 911 RSRs will be present for the team, and alongside them in the LMGTE categories will be three Aston Martin Vantage V8s. No drivers have yet been confirmed for these entries.
The final entry list for the test, which will run be from 10:00 am to Midday and 1:00 – 4:00 pm, will be announced on Tuesday 10th November.
