We do like a nice used car once in a while and here’s a cracker spotted this week.
A 1989 Aston Martin AMR 1, one of just four of the works built Group C machines.
This is chassis AMR1/05: The last, lightest and most powerful of the programme.
It’s powered by a magnificent 740 BHP, 6.3 litre, 32 Valve Aston Martin V8.
The car is a well known and regular racer, and has been kept in raceable condition since construction was completed.
With the Group C racing series now in the hands of Peter Auto there are opportunities to race the car both in the full 2016 Championship and at Classic Le Mans this coming year
The car can be viewed at the showrooms of Nicholas Mee and Co.
I did ask whether I could test drive the car but apparently there was a fault on the line…or something!
