Enzo Ide heads into Qualifying tomorrow with the fastest time of the 39 runners, after a 1:48.406 set during Free Practice 1 to give Team WRT Audi the quickest time of the day.
Ide, who is sharing the #33 with Chris Mies this season, went quickest midway through the session, before Robin Frijns in the #4 WRT Audi topped the sheets on the drying track at Misano. In the dying minutes however, Ide managed to vault his WRT Audi R8 LMS to the top of the screens once again, and finish up the first session of the season just over a tenth ahead of Frijns.
Third at the end of the running was the #1 Audi, which with Laurens Vanthoor behind the wheel set a 1:48.725. With the #26 Sainteloc Audi fourth, it made it a 1-2-3-4 for the German marque, with the fastest non-Audi runner the #86 HTP Mercedes AMG GT3 of Bernd Schneider and Jules Szymkowiak.
Free Practice 2 was held under floodlights, and unfortunately in wet conditions. The #58 Garage 59 McLaren 650S GT3 of Rob Bell and Alvaro Parente led the way for most of the running, before Laurens Vanthoor set a 1:51.769 to push the pair of McLaren GT factory drivers down to second spot.
Third in FP2 was the #85 HTP Mercedes of Zazeman Jafaar and Clemens Schmid with a time of 1:52.316.
While Free Practice 1 ran trouble-free while the track dried out, Free Practice 2 had to be red flagged about 25 minutes into the session after the Am Cup X-Bionic Racing Team Lamborghini Huracan GT3 went into the tyres at Turn 1.
Qualifying tomorrow is set to start at 14:15 local time in Italy.
