Valero for #97 Aston
Another car sporting a new livery is the #97 Aston Martin, which is running in matte Valero colours this weekend in a one off sponsorship deal.
Spare car, no spare driver, for SMP Racing
SMP Racing have five BR01 Nissan Coupes at the Silverstone circuit with a pair of (brand new) race cars for the FIA WEC campaign, last years two race cars back in service as the two ELMS entries and fifth car, a brand new un-raced car at the rear of the WEC garage as a spare for the WEC campaign with a second spare also due!
A member of the management team confirmed that a total of eight chassis will be completed after the current production run which indicates a further car to be built beyond the WEC cars (chassis 5 & 6, and the two planned spares).
David Markozov will not race at Silverstone leaving the #27 BR01 with just Nic Minassian and Maurizio Mediani set to race on Sunday.
SMP Racing would not count out a potential driver reshuffle for their two Le Mans entries in June, potentially involving some of the drivers currently racing in the ELMS.
ByKolles aero changes
ByKolles is making major changes to its aero package this season, with a new front-end due to be used this weekend. It looks very Audi-esque, with a raised nose.
The team has also developed a new rear-end, which is due to make a debut later in the season.
The car is also a flatter grey colour here, than the Prologue.
