Ginetta have now confirmed the fourth LMP3 entry for the coming 2016/17 Asian Le Mans Series with Factory Driver Mike Simpson (above) joining Ayelzo Ecotint Racing (AER) team boss Zen Low at the wheel of a Ginetta LMP3.
Simpson will dovetail his Asian Le Mans Series debut with a season in the V de V Championship, which kicked off in Barcelona last month (March 18-20). The Yorkshireman secured second in class alongside Ginetta boss Lawrence Tomlinson in their newest prototype, the G57.
Established in 2009, Ayelzo Racing and Low are no strangers to the Asian Le Mans Series, although this is the first time he will compete behind the wheel of a Ginetta and the first season in which the team has joined forced with Ecotint.
Low has previously contested the 12-Hour Merdeka Endurance Race at Sepang International Circuit, GT Asia Series, Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia Series and the Gulf 12-hours Endurance Race.

The announcement follows the news that Simpson’s fellow Factory Driver Charlie Robertson will join Ate De Jong’s PRT Racing Team for a season in both the both the Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup, a three round series held in Sepang, Malaysia, as well as the four round Endurance season, which takes place in China, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia.
ARC Bratislava also intend a two car Ginetta LMP3 entry for the Asian LMS with a brand new chassis joining their an upgraded second hand car (the ex Lanan racing chassis) and a third car purchased as a spare chassis.
