The FIA World Endurance Championship heads to Belgium next week for the second round of the 2016 season at Spa Francorchamps for the traditional Le Mans dress rehearsal, with 34 cars entered.
The grid for this year’s race in the Ardennes Forest, sees only a few minor changes post Silverstone.
Only one team will be joining the Spa field from elsewhere, which is the #38 G-Drive Racing Gibson of Simon Dolan and WEC debutants Giedo Van Der Garde and Jake Dennis.
Aside from that, there’s only two other driver changes. After a clash with Pirelli World Challenge on the Silverstone weekend, Pat Long is back in the Abu-Dhabi Proton Porsche, replacing Klaus Bachler.
Jonny Adam is also set to race in the #97 Aston Martin in GTE Pro after having to competing in British GT instead of the WEC two weeks ago.
James Rossiter will once again be aboard the ByKolles CLM, standing in for Pierre Kaffer, who has other racing commitments.
Ford’s two GTE entries have meanwhile, still have their Le Mans driver lineups.
This year marks the first time in WEC history that the factory LMP1 grid hasn’t had any additions for Spa, with no extra cars for Audi or Porsche entered this year at Le Mans.
