News reached DSC just a few minutes ago that Larbre Competition driver Paolo Ruberti is set to miss the Le mans 24 Hours after suffering a substantial accident whilst driver coaching at Hockenheim.
The Italian driver suffered a compound fracture to a lumbar vertebrae.
That counts him out of action for a number of weeks and means that the Le Mans 24 Hours will be the first ever FIA WEC race that the popular, and very quick, Italian will have missed.
There is obviously no news just yet on his replacement in the #50 Corvette.

Here I am.. In the hospital in Germany near hockeneim… Unfortunately this morning doing the coach we had a technical problem with the brakes and I went to hit while I was driving down the backstretch of hockeneim approximately 200 km/h.
My student is here with me in the hospital but he has no fractures, I unfortunately i have a compound fracture to a lumbar vertebra. Tomorrow morning I operate but luckily move very well all the arts.. Unfortunately I’ll have to skip the 24 h of le mans, but in the end if i think about it well i went well.. I’ll keep you updated.
