Andrew Jarman will be back racing in British GT Championship for the rest of the 2016 season after signing a deal to return to Stratton Motorsport. Jarman won the Aston Martin GT4 Challenge with the team three years ago.
Signing the deal means that he will be with the team for the series’ annual visit to Belgium to take on Spa-Francorchamps. He will drive alongside David Tinn aboard the team’s Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
The Milton Keynes native is no stranger to driving GT4 machinery in British GT, having scored two class victories en route to second in the class standings two years ago. Last season Jarman stepped up to drive for TF Sport in GT3, and scored the team’s maiden pole position at Snetterton.
“It’s great to be coming back into the British GT Championship,” he said. “I’ve been watching with interest this year how the popularity of the series has continued to grow. I couldn’t turn down the chance to come back and I’m delighted to be driving alongside David with Stratton Motorsport who I’ve known since my time in the GT4 Challenge.
“We have some catching up to do coming in half-way through the season and the competition looks stronger than ever in the GT4 class, although I’m confident we can progress our way up the grid over the remainder of the season. I can’t wait to get started.”
