Nigel Moore and Philip Hansen will join the full ELMS grid for the remainder of the 2016 European Le Mans Series aboard Tockwith Motorsport’s new Ligier JSP3 Nissan, this the first customer chassis sold by Ligier’s UK agents United Autosports
The pair step up from the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup where the Yorkshire based team have been campaigning an Audi R8 LMS Ultra thus far this season.
The opportunity has now arisen though to enter the new Ligier into the ELMS for the there remaining 2016 races at Paul Ricard, Spa and Estoril ahead of a likely full 2017 season.
“We may run the Audi in the GT3 race too but at the moment it is parked up, we aren’t happy with the current BoP for the car at all,” said team boss Simon Moore.
Tockwith’s plans for the Ligier are likely to also include the new British Prototype Series run by Bute Motorsport, the team are already set to enter the ‘Preview’ race in October at Snetterton.
