DSC understands from a number of industry sources that ORECA intend to switch, with immediate effect, to AP Racing carbon brakes.
Two cars suffered major issues in Mexico with the #26 G-Drive Oreca seeing a race lead disappear as a front brake disc exploded, this after similar issues for Manor, Signatech and Rebellion.
We have requested, and are awaiting, a statement from ORECA to confirm the move, and the results of their investigation with Brembo into the earlier issues.
