Jacques Nicolet is perhaps best known on these pages as the man behind OAK racing and Onroak Automotive but his business interests in motorsport and beyond are extensive, and last month saw his JN Holding company rebranded as ‘Everspeed’ and a more recent move saw the ailing SODEMO engine concern join the Group.
The JN Holding group has built up over the last 10 years with around 400 employees in the group today.
Henceforth the company will be organised around 4 sub-groups:
EVERSPEED Composites with HP Composites
EVERSPEED Motorsport, Onroak Automotive, Mygale, AOTech, OAK Racing, Marcassus Sport & Les Deux Arbres
EVERSPEED Connection with DPPI images and Sportagraph
EVERSPEED Learning with Ecodime, Ecodime Italia and Mind Values
Recent days have seen Nicolet acquire the assets of the SODEMO engine construction and preparation concern.
SODEMO had been in receivership since early September, the acquisition saving 24 jobs and keeping the Magny Cours based company both afloat, and on the Magny Cours site, now as part of the increasingly comprehensive Overspeed Motorsport concern.
SODEMO’s product portfolio included 2 litre engines for Formula ThreeAlfa Romeo and Mercedes touring car engines, work on the BTCC Championship winning Renault Lagunas for Williams, and Range Rover Rally Raid engines. They may be best known amongst DSC readers though for their role in preparing/developing the Peugeot engines that were run by Pescarolo Sport in their Courage C60s.
