Alessandro Pier Guidi (#56 AT Racing Ferrari) was the first to make a significant mark, 1:55.091 edging Ben Barker’s first effort in the #88 Porsche by a couple of tenths with Marco Cioci a further half second back.
Next time around and the Porsche man was on top, and by half a second, a 1:54.754.
Pier Guidi meanwhile pitted briefly (as had Matt Griffin early in the session), the Irishman up to fourth on his first flier. Pier Guidi pushed hard but the results would have scored higher in a Drift contest than it did here.

Proton Porsche #88 on Pole for the second time this season for the team, the first for Ben Barker with Pier Guidi second, and Cioci third fastest.
Of the Championship contenders Andrea Bertolini brought the #66 JMW Ferrari home 5th, Darren Turner finishing the session a conservative 8th in the Beechdean Aston Martin.
The #88 incidentally becomes the first car to set more than one pole position this season after Matteo Cairoli took the honours for the team at the Red Bull Ring.
