Italian GT regulars Solaris Motorsport will be back in the International GT Open for the Barcelona finale, racing its Aston Martin Vantage GT3. The team raced in the series last season with a Corvette ZO6R.
At Circuit de Catalunya for the final pair of races of the 2016 season, the Vantage will be driven by Francesco Sini, and Jody Fannin. 23-year-old Brit Fanin has experience racing in the series, finishing first and second back in 2014 at Silverstone.
“I’m looking forward to working with Solaris Motorsport and Francesco,” commented Fannin, “I haven’t been to Barcelona before, but I know the GT3 Aston and am confident that we can run at the sharp end.”
“I’m excited to be back in the International GT Open. Our Aston Martin is very competitive and I’m confident that together with Jody we can aim at a good result,” added Francesco Sini, who raced in the Ricard and Monza rounds of the GT Open last year.
The GT Open season finale is set to take place on the 5th and 6th of November at Circuit de Catalunya.
