It’s that time of year when Championships are reaching their conclusions, and it’s the time of year too when a myriad of one-off events emerge to add variety to the racing calendar and chaos to DSC’s travel budget.
This weekend sees one of those long-standing fixtures, The 6 Hours of Rome at Vallelunga.
Happily there is a live video stream which goes live very soon (see below)
Qualifying yesterday saw 2015 race winer Ivan Bellarosa take pole position in his Wolf Racing Cars Peugeot engined GB08 1:30.718 – the run though was interrupted after the pole time by mechanical dramas for the little prototype. Bellarosa shares the drive with fellow 2015 victor Guglielmo Belotti.
Second on the grid is the Eurointernational Ligier JSP3 LMP3 of Mondini-Dromedari-Uboldi (1’30.869) with the Ferrari 488 GT3 of Fisichella-Cioci-Moiseev (1’31.699) and the Oregon Team Renault RS01 of Kubica-Roda-Bobbi (1’31.995) forming the second row.
So two ex F1 race winners on the grid and a GT racing legend too as
Jaime Melo appears on the entry too.
The race gets underway at 09:45 local, 08:45 UK
