Laurens Vanthoor and Dirk Werner have been named as Porsche GT works drivers for 2017 at the brand’s Night of Champions in Stuttgart.
Belgian Audi GT3 stalwart Vanthoor and now ex-BMW works driver Werner join 2016 Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland winner Sven Mueller as next season’s additions to Porsche’s GT driver lineup.

Werner and Vanthoor will drive in Porsche North America’s full-season 2017 IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar GTLM campaign. The #911 911 GTE RSR will be driven by Patrick Pilet and Werner, while Vanthoor will join Frenchman Kevin Estre in the #912 car.
