Jann Mardenborough has been announced this morning as part of the Nissan effort in the 2017 Super GT Championship.
The GT Academy graduate joins Team Impul alongside Hironobu Yasuda, the pair one of four factory supported entries fielding the 2017 spec Nissan GT-R NISMO GT500.
After failing to secure a hat-trick of Championship wins last season, this despite leading the championship until the last event, NISMO have reshuffled the pack for the 2017 season:
Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli are fielded in the NISMO entered #23 Nissan’s ace car #23.
After competing last season in GT300, Mardenborough steps up to GT50 with TEAM IMPUL together with teammate Hironobu Yasuda.
For the first time in 7 years João Paulo de Oliveira will return to KONDO Racing, which took two victories last year, and will team up with Daiki Sasaki.
MOLA will continue with the same strong driver combination from last year, with veteran Satoshi Motoyama challenging the series alongside young gun Katsumasa Chiyo.
