French outfit Team AKKA-ASP has increased its Blancpain GT Series commitments for 2017, and will enter four Mercedes AMG GT3s apiece in the full Blancpain Sprint and Endurance Cups.
The team impressed mightily in 2016, with its highlight being a second-place finish at the Spa 24 Hours after saw Felix Rosenqvist, Tristan Vautier and Renger van der Zande fought their way through the field after serving a five-minute stop-go penalty at the start of the race.
Headlining its Mercedes armada are two Pro cars. The #88 features Daniel Juncadella and Félix Serrallés, while the #90 will see Raffaele Marciello and 2016 British WRT driver Michael Meadows pair up for the full GT season. The two driver pairings will be joined by team regular Tristain Vauiter and Mathias Lauda as third drivers in the Endurance rounds respectively.
In Pro-Am, Jules Gounon and Jean-Luc Beabelique will drive together in the #87 for the season with Mauro Ricci joining them for the Endurance Cup.
The #89 meanwhile will see a rotation throughout the season. Ex-McLaren GT Driver Academy driver Alex Fontana will partner GT3 Le Mans Cup participant Daniele Perfetti and veteran Ludovic Badey for the Endurance races, while Jean-Philippe Belloc and Christophe Bourget will drive in the Sprints.
Anthony Pons and Marco Ricci will each also drive for the team in the Blancpain Sports Club with AMG GT3s.
