MS Racing Announces GT Open Entry

First full-season commitment from the Austria outfit

Austrian GT team MS Racing has announced that it will compete in the full International GT Open season in 2017, bringing a Mercedes AMG GT3 to the series.

Based in Vienna, MS Racing was formed in 2008 by Matthias Stepanek. It will enter a Mercedes AMG GT3 in the Am category for two Austrian bronze drivers, Alexander Hrachowina and Martin Konrad, who have experience in endurance races.

This commitment comes after the team competed in the 24H Series round at Mugello last month with both Konrad and Krachowina as part of its driver lineup.

“Both the team and our drivers were looking at an expansion at a higher and European level,” said team principal Martin Stepanek. “The GT Open, because of its competitiveness, great tracks, visibility and nice atmosphere, seemed to us the best option for the next step of our growth and we are very anxious to be at Estoril!”
