The 2017 FIA WEC gets underway this weekend at Silverstone and Wednesday morning saw the teams in the midst of set-up ahead of the weekend’s action.
The ‘missing link’ in the WEC chain is here (above) with the second CEFC Manor TRC ORECA 07 now with the team after arriving at the workshop back from rebuild/ upgrade only on Saturday.
All the teams expected to arrive are here already onside, including the ByKolles team that tested (and, we believe shunted) at Snetterton yesterday.
There will still only be nine LMP2s for the race though, as revealed by DSC at Monza the #35 Signatech Alpine will not race here and is currently only confirmed for Spa and Le Mans.
It’s cold and overcast today, some rain likely before the weekend but better weather for race day currently expected, though as we found out last year things can change dramatically.
