A technical presentation at Silverstone today launching the new for 2018 Ginetta LMP1 project saw the programmes technical partners come together to show progress so far on the elements of the new car.
It also gave Ginetta the first opportunity to reveal publicly the financial package that they intend to roll out for the sales and support for the new car.
The price for the rolling chassis (including electronics) is £1,340,000 GBP but Ginetta and their partners have put together a full technical support package for the car, including the lease of the Mecachrome turbo V6, for £594,000 GBP per season, which includes technical support from both Mecachrome and Ginetta.
First physical testing of the new car, shown for the first time today in both 3D printed, and virtual form, is expected to take place in Summer this year.
Much more to come later today on this story.
