Greaves Motorsport will return to racing later this year with confirmation that the 2015 ELMS Championship winning team will be handling the technical support and logistics for ARC Bratislava in the 2017/2018 Asian Le Mans Series as the team move up to a full season of LMP2 racing.
In the wake of an LMP2 debut at the Le Mans 24 Hours with a 2017-spec Ligier Miro Konopka has obtained the ex-Krohn Racing Ligier JS P2 Nissan. The car is already in Slovakia and in ARC Bratilava’s trademark bright yellow livery and with Greaves already engaged with the team in preparing and testing ahead of the season opener at Zhuhai in November.
Konopka’s Ginetta LMP3s which ARC Bratislava campaigned last season in Asia have been sold on to the TKS team, one of which raced last month in the Road to Le Mans races at Le Mans.
The ARC Bratislava Ligier looks set to form part of an improved LMP2 entry this season, with more news to come from multiple teams in the coming weeks.
The Asian Le Mans Series continues to welcome the previous generation of LMP2s (up to 2016 in WEC and ELMS) with the 2017 cars not eligible for competition in the Series before 2019.
