Strakka Racing is set to race with only three McLaren 650S GT3s this weekend in the Blancpain Sprint Cup races at the Hungaroring, after McLaren GT Factory Driver Côme Ledogar was declared unfit to drive with appendicitis.
This means that the #43 650S GT3 of Frenchman Ledogar and fellow works driver Jonny Kane will not take part in the event, leaving Kane without a drive too.
The team’s #42 Silver Cup entered 650S GT3 meanwhile, will run with different driving pairing. Team founder Nick Leventis will not race, and instead, 20-year-old Croation driver Martin Kodric will make his Strakka Racing debut alongside Lewis Williamson.
This weekend’s action is not Kodric’s debut in the Blancpain GT Series. Prior to the trip to Hungary, the former Lamborghini Super Trofeo Racer has raced in the Endurance Cup with Barwell Motorsport, winning the Pro/Am class at Silverstone and Paul Ricard this year, as well as Blancpain GT Series Asia with Vincenzo Sospiri Racing.
