Miedecke Motorsport are set to return to the Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour in 2018 with their ex Craft-Bamboo Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3s.
Andrew Miedecke confirmed to Speedcafe.com his team plans to return to the Mountain with at least two cars in 2018.
The team ran a single Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 car for George Miedecke, Ash Walsh and Tony Bates in the 2017 running of the race showing excellent pace.
The team made the Pirelli top-10 shootout before a sensational lap from Walsh saw them qualify fourth outright.
Thereafter though a crash just after the two hour mark saw the car out of the race after Miedecke endured carbon monoxide fumes in the cabin during his stint.
Miedecke told Speedcafe.com that the team had two of the three drivers for the lead car signed and were thinking of an AMR factory driver to complete the line-up and were in discussions with drivers over the second GT3 car. There is also a potential plan to add the team’s recently acquired GT4 Aston Martin to the entry.
