The 2003 Le Mans-winning Bentley Speed 8 will be on display when the British GT Championship descends upon Donington Park for its season finale.
Team Parker Racing will be hosting Bentley’s Speed 8 sports-prototype. The car won the 2003 Le Mans 24 Hours with Rinaldo Capello, Guy Smith and nine-times outright Le Mans-winner Tom Kristensen. The trio won the race with a three-lap lead over their own sister car.
That win was Bentley’s sixth and final, the manufacturer would leave prototype racing to focus more on their own GT3 program in other series’.
Along side the Speed 8 will be a vehicle equally as interesting. One of America’s oldest motorcycle manufacturing companies, Indian Motorcycle will be showing off their custom built bike, the Spirit of Munro.
The namesake of the bike comes from Burt Munro who rode a 1920 Indian Scout to the 1000cc land speed record in 1967 at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Both the Speed 8, and Spirit of Munro will be parked outside the Team Parker Area at Donington Park for the race weekend of September 23-24.
