Gulf Racing fastest of the GT3 runners

DKR Engineering’s Paul Ricard-winning Norma M30 finished top of the times in LMP3 in the second practice session of the weekend at Spa-Francorchamps, Alexander Toril setting a 2:16.507, the fastest time of the weekend so far in the series.

Second on the screens was the RLR MSport JS P3, Alex Kapadia – who is again on double duty racing with the team in the ELMS as well – reeling off a 2:16.883 to go under four tenths off the best time from Toril.

Completing the top three was British LMP3 Cup champion Colin Noble in the #79 Nielsen Racing Ligier, his best lap a 2:17.378. The Spirit of Race Ligier came in fourth, under a second off, with the #22 United Autosports JS P3 fifth.

In the GT3 ranks, after finishing up second in FP1, Gulf Racing’s Porsche finished the day’s running first in the order. Ben Barker set the car’s quickest tour of the Belgian circuit, which was a 2:20.690.

It was almost two seconds faster than the next best time in the class, set by Dominik Baumann in the Lee Mowle Mercedes AMG GT3. Bauman, who topped this morning’s session, managed a 2:24.118.

The third slot was taken by the SVC Sport Management Lamborghini Huracan, Steeve Hiesse setting its best time in the session.

Next up for the Le Mans Cup is Qualifying, which begins at 11:40 tomorrow morning, local time.
