Augusto Farfus will start the #51 Teo Martin BMW from pole at this afternoon’s International GT Open race, after bettering Côme Ledogar in the #88 Garage 59 McLaren 650S GT3.
Ledogar set the early place in the 30 minute session, placing himself at the top of the pile with a 1:47.094. This was improved to a 1:46.8 over the course of the first ten minutes, before Farfus lowered the bar with a 1:46.662.
With seven and a half minutes to go, Mikkel Mac (#488 Spirit of Race Ferrari) crossed the line for a 1:46.693, improving to second. Mac utilised a tow from Ledogar, who continued to chip away at his own personal best.
Shortly thereafter, Augusto Farfus strung together three purple sectors for a 1:46.241. Côme Ledogar crossed the line seconds later for a 1:46.277. These times would not be beaten for the remainder off the session.
Farfus (#51 Teo Martin BMW) and Pro/Am entrant Ledogar (#88 Garage 59 McLaren) will fill out the front row for this afternoon’s race, with Mikkel Mac’s 1:46.693 securing third place for the #488 Spirit of Race Ferrari team. The #65 Teo Martin BMW of Fran Rueda will start fourth after setting a 1:46.735 late in the session.
Row three will feature a pair of Lamborghinis; the #63 Imperale Huracan of Giovanni Venturini will start fifth, alongside Sebastian Morris in the #39 Wessex Vehicles that took victory yesterday.
Ninth-placed Matt Griffin (#8 AF Corse Ferrari) will be the second of the Pro/Am entrants on the grid after Ledogar. The overall top ten is completed by leading AM Gabriele Lancieri in the #5 SF Racing Ferrari.
