The entry list for next month’s 24H Series race at CoTA continues to take shape, the latest edition features 57 cars, and includes some notable names and cars for Creventic’s first event in the USA.
In the A6 class for GT3 competitors, amongst the many entries from European teams like Herberth Motorsport, Team Manthey, Black Falcon, ROFGO and Grasser Racing, IMSA stalwart Risi Competizione will debut two Ferrari 488 GT3s. No drivers are currently listed for the Texas-based team at the time of writing.
Lightspeed Racing meanwhile, will debut the Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG003C in the USA (below) and PWC regular Jorge De La Torre will also compete in the 24H Series for the first time, with an Aston Martin Vantage GT3.
Further down the order, in SP2, three MARC Cars will compete, two Mazdas and a Focus. This, DSC believes, is the first time that MARC Cars (featured) have raced in a significant American endurance race.
Another big debut in the race, will be the Mercedes AMG GT4 (pictured below, competing in the 24H Series round at Portimao). Two examples of the new car will race in SP3-GT4 with Mercedes, in conjunction with German outfits HTP Motorsport (racing in conjunction with US based Winward Racing) and Black Falcon. The Black Falcon machine will see Mustafa Mehmet Kaya, Gabriele Piana, Saud Al Faisal, Ryan Ratcliffe and Adam Christodoulou team up. Winward Racing has yet to announce its line-up.
There are however, two key omissions. On the original list, there were two RWT-run Callaway Corvette C7 GT3s, which were set to make their debut on North American soil.
The inaugural 24H CoTA is set to run from the 11-12 of November.
