CWS Take GT4 Crown For Ginetta In 24H TCES Series

There were yet more Championship titles over the past weekend for the Ginetta G55 GT4 as Colin White and Patrik Matthiesen did enough to secure the SP3-GT4 class titles in the 24H TCES Series for both drivers and the team, Matthiesen also taking the Rookie title, repeating the feat he achieved with the 2015 Ginetta Junior Series.

Schneider Scores First AMG GT4 Pole

That same race weekend saw the first Pole position scored by an AMG GT4 as Bernd Schneider topped the timesheets in an HTP entered car, one of three entered for the Spa event (one each with three different teams) as the development programme gathers pace for the ‘Baby Benz’

First KTM VLN Win Goes To Stuck Bros

Whilst not a GT4 spec car (the Isert Motorsport KTM X Bow racing in Cup X) the Stuck brothers added the in the KTM brand to a long list of marques that have scored class and race winning success on the Nordschielfe on Saturday.

Ferdinand and Johannes Stuck not only won their class but also finished an impressive seventh overall. “That is absolutely amazing”, said Johannes Stuck. “This result is the reward for the hard work that Isert Motorsport has performed.“

Audi R8 GT4 On Sale

The Audi R8 GT4 meanwhile formally went on sale this week after the car was announced by Audi Sport Customer Racing back in April joining the R8 LMS (GT3) and RS3 LMS (TCR) in the company’s repertoire.

List price for the GT4 Audi is 198,000 euros (excluding VAT). Deliveries are planned to begin in December.

Prospective buyers can order the race car in Europe via Audi Sport customer racing, while Audi Sport customer racing North America, Audi Sport customer racing Asia, Audi Sport customer racing Japan and Audi Sport customer racing Australia are handling sales on three other continents.

GT4 class in R8 LMS Cup

Orders for the new R8 GT4 are bound to be boosted after Customer Sport Racing boss Chris Reinke told IMSA Radio at the weekend that a GT4 class would be dded to the Asia-based Audi R8 LMS Cup in addition to the current class for GT3 spec cars.
