RN Vision STS will enter two BMW M4 GT4s in the GT4 European Series this season. The German team finished second in the Pro-AM standings of the 2017 GT4 European Series Northern Cup and has committed to a second year of racing in GT4.
Following a debut season with the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR, the team will switch to BMW this season and will contest the series with a slightly revised lineup compared to last season.
Pro-AM vice champion Razvan Umbrarescu will once more team up with Gabriele Piana. Piana, who missed two rounds in 2017, has since won the 24 Hours of Dubai and has been elevated to Silver status on the FIA Driver Categorisation list. The pair will compete in the Silver Cup this season in the #111 BMW M4 GT4.
In the #112 BMW M4 GT4 former GT4 European Series race winner Pavel Lefterov will get a new teammate. Lefterov will compete in the Pro-AM class with Portuguese driver Miguel Christovão.
“Our goal for 2018 remains the same: we want to fight for class-podiums and wins. This will be hard enough as the competition will be even stronger this year,” said team owner Marek Zuchowski.
“While featuring a new car, we continue with almost the same, slightly refined driver-lineup. In my opinion, the BMW provides the right package to fulfill our ambitions.”
