Grasser Racing has announced that it will compete in the full 2018 Blancpain GT and ADAC GT Masters championships with a trio of Lamborghini Huracan GT3s in 2018.
The team has confirmed its driver crews for both series as part of its announcement. In ADAC GT, the team will race with Ezequiel Perez Companc and Franck Perera in the #19, Rolf Ineichen and Christian Engelhart in the #82 and Mirko Bortolotti and Andrea Caldarelli in the #63. For the season the #63 will run under a the Orange 1 Team by GRT banner following a sponsorship commitment from Orange 1.
In the Blancpain GT Endurance Cup, Ezequiel Perez Companc, Raffaele Giammaria and another PRO driver who will be named after the first test will share the #19. Defending champions Mirko Bortolotti, Christian Engelhart and Andrea Caldarelli will drive the #63, and Rolf Ineichen, Franck Perera and an unannounced pro driver will race the #82.
And in the Blancpain Sprint Cup, the #19 will be shared by Ezequiel Perez Companc and Andrea Caldarelli, the #63 will be piloted by Mirko Bortolotti and Christian Engelhart and the #82 will be driven by Loris Hezemans (son of sportscar star Toine) and Franck Perera.
“What a start into the 2018 season! We can be very happy with third place in Dubai and above all our historic win in the Daytona 24 Hours in January,” said team owner Gottfried Grasser.
“Now, we want to defend our Blancpain GT Series title and try to finally bring the ADAC GT Masters title to Austria as well. With the proven Lamborghini Huracán GT3, we have a race car that is capable of winning. We are well aware that our goals are ambitious, but we will do our utmost to build on our most recent achievements.”
