Former A1 Grand Prix driver Daniel Morad will take on the full 2018 Pirelli World Challenge season in CRP Racing’s Devilbliss-backed Mercedes AMG GT3.
This marks the Canadian’s second year with the team, after he competed with it in the SprintX Championship last year with Ryan Dalziel.
“I’m happy to have Daniel back with CRP Racing for a second year,” said team owner Nicholas Short. “We believe he deserved this chance after his performances as our SprintX driver last year. He is fast, dynamic, and very focused, and we look forward to seeing how the season unfolds.”
Together with co-driver Dalziel, Morad celebrated SprintX wins at VIRginia International Raceway and Circuit of the Americas, securing a second place standing in the 2017 championship.
“It feels great to be back with CRP Racing,” said Morad. “We scored a big win in my debut as the SprintX driver, as well as a win to close out my driving duties in the Mercedes AMG GT3. I’m really happy to have the confidence of the team to lead their campaign. I’m looking forward to picking up where we left off.”
The 2018 Pirelli World Challenge season begins this weekend, with the first practice session going green on Friday, March 9, followed by Saturday and Sunday each hosting a race.
