Second quickest in the late-morning session was the #4 Mercedes-AMG Team Black Falcon Mercedes-AMG GT3 in which Luca Stolz was the first driver to set a lap-tine under 1:59 with a 1:58.999 as the session approached its final 10 minutes

The session took place in warm temperatures and a dry track and allowed teams to focus on finding a set-up for what is forecast to be an even warmer day on Sunday April 20 for qualifying and the three-hour race.
The session was largely uneventful but spins for the #72 SMP Racing Ferrari at Turn 12 with Miguel Molina at the wheel and the #7 Bentley Team M-Sport Bentley Continental GT3 with Steven Kane driving at Turn 1, which caused local yellows.
The Blancpain GT Series grid will be next out on circuit for the 90-minute Pre-Qualifying Session at 15:45 local time with qualifying taking place on Sunday May 20 at 09:45. The lights go out for Round Four of the 2018 Blancpain GT Series at 15:00 on May 20.
