Mercedes AMG driver Raffaele Marciello is set to compete in the PWC at Lime Rock Park this weekend driving in CRP Racing’s Mercedes, in the seat filled by Fabian Schiller in this year’s SprintX championship alongside Daniel Morad.
“I have followed Raffaele’s career in Europe for a while now,” said CRP Racing owner Nick Short. “When the opportunity presented itself to run him as a partner to Daniel in SprintX, I jumped at the chance. He is very fast, so he should complement Daniel very well.”
Marciello added: “I’m really happy to join the team. I will try to give my experience to them and try to help to score some podiums! I’m super motivated and big thanks to Mercedes AMG for the chance.”
Daniel Morad and CRP Racing both currently sit fifth in the Pirelli World Challenge GT SprintX Championship, after a second place finish at Round 1 at Circuit of the Americas, and several top-five finishes.
Rounds five and six of the Pirelli World Challenge at Lime Rock Park are set to run on Sunday, May 28 at 11:25AM and at 4:05PM Eastern.
