Ricardo Baptista and Carlos Eduardo “Cacá” Bueno will contest all remaining rounds of the 2018 International GT Open season as Drivex enter a second car for the Brazilian pairing.
Baptista and Bueno then join fellow countrymen Marcelo Hahn and Allam Khodair in the series for the remaining races at Hungaroring, Silverstone, Monza and Barcelona.
Baptista, a 41-year-old driver from Sao Paulo, is a two-time Champion in Porsche GT3 Cup Brazil with, in which he claimed two titles and another vice-championship. Last but not least, Baptista’s impressive record in the single-make championship includes 26 wins and 93 podium finishes.
“Cacá” Bueno, also aged 41 and born in Rio de Janeiro, has taken nine national championships in Brazil including top tier series such as the Stock Car Brasil – five-time Champion- and the Trofeo Linea Brasil.
Bueno also took the title in the South-American Touring Car Championship with participations in other international series such as the World Touring Car Championship and the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup.
Baptista and Bueno recently carried out private testing with their new car at Albacete. Their official debut will take place at the Hungaroring on 7-8 July.
