Jordan Witt is set to return to the British GT Championship for its annual away trip to Spa-Francorchamps later this month, in RJN Motorsports’ Silver Cup Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3.
Witt previously replaced the team’s expected full-season driver Devon Modell at Snetterton, before fellow RJN regular (and former GT Academy winner) Ricardo Sanchez filled the vacant seat alongside full-season driver Struan Moore at Silverstone, where the pair claimed pole position.
Now Witt, who also races for RJN with Moore in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup with Moore and Sanchez, is back for a second British GT outing of the season at Spa. The meeting will give both him and Moore extra track time before the Spa 24 Hours race week that follows on.
“I can’t wait to climb back into the car and get going,” Witt said. “Spa is one of if not the strongest circuit for me, and somewhere I have enjoyed podiums and wins in the past. At Silverstone Struan and Ricardo proved how competitive a Silver Cup crew can be in the combined qualifying and longer race, so we now intend to give the Nissan GT-R its first podium of the season.”
The British GT Championship’s weekend at Spa is set to run from July 21-22.
