The latest technical bulletin from the Endurance Committee sees the factory-entered GTE Pro Aston Martin Vantages receive a small turbo boost adjustment across the rev range, plus 5 litres additional maximum fuel load, for this weekend’s 6 Hours of Silverstone.
The turbo boost pressure adjustments, measured against the Spa BoP values, see a c.4% boost, but measured against the values applied at Le Mans (where the Vantages were very much off the pace) the increase is rather more modest.
The Silverstone race sees the first event involving the WEC’s Auto-BoP process since Spa in May, after the Le Mans 24 Hours featured, as usual, a standalone process.
In addition the pair of AF Corse GTE Pro Ferrari 488 GTE’s receive a very marginal upward adjustment in turbo boost pressure, in fact the slimmest adjustment possible compared to Spa, though the Ferrari was reeled in somewhat for Le Mans!
