First-day sales of tickets and parking for the 2019 ‘Super Sebring’ doubleheader featuring IMSA’s 12 Hours of Sebring and the WEC’s 1000-mile race have risen by 314 percent over first day sales for this year’s event.
The huge spike in day one sales means that a large percentage of reserved track-side parking spaces and Sebring’s premium ticket – Club Sebring – are already gone.
“The addition of the WEC 1000 Miles of Sebring to the legendary Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring schedule is already proving to be a huge success,” said Wayne Estes, president and general manager of Sebring International Raceway.
“Our phones have been ringing non-stop and online sales have been amazing. We’re not only seeing a tremendous response from our returning fans but also a large influx of new fans from Europe and Canada alike. The activity we’ve seen is backing up our claim to this being one of the greatest weekends of sportscar racing in the history of the United States.”
During the weekend there will be up to 20 hours of sportscar racing across the IMSA and the WEC races. The WEC 1000 Miles of Sebring is expected to be an eight-hour endurance race and will take the green flag at 3:55 p.m. Friday, March 15. The next day, the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring will start in its traditional 10:40 a.m. time slot.
In addition to the racing, the event will also feature off-track activities like the traditional driver autograph session, a display of historic race cars, entertainment at The Spring Brake Party Zone and fireworks.
Tickets and reserved track-side parking are still available online at sebringraceway.com or by phone at 800.626.7223. A discounted four-day early-bird Superticket is being offered until November 12.
