The new for 2019 Toyota Supra will see its first ever race action this weekend at the Nürburgring with a car entered in the SP8T class entered for the VLN season finale.
With a pair of Toyota test and development drivers slated to drive the car, DSC understands that the outing is to assess the motorsport potential for the front-engined, Straight-6-powered car. Whilst the new car, which shares its platform with the new BMW Z4, has been the subject of rumours and speculation around potential GTE and/ or GT3 versions, DSC believes that a more modest GT4-level specification is a more likely eventual outcome.
