Beechdean To Run New GT3 & GT4 Aston Martins In 2019

Sorensen to make British GT return

Beechdean AMR has announced that it will be running in both the GT3 and GT4 classes of the British GT Championship next year with brand new Aston Martin Vantages.

The team, which has two British GT GT3 titles and a GT4 title to its name, will race one new Vantage GT3 (featured) in the GT3 class with team boss Andrew Howard and AMR factory driver Marco Sorensen at the wheel, and a Vantage GT4 (below) for Martin Plowman and Kelvin Fletcher, who raced in British GT this year as a pair in an RJN-run UltraTek Nissan 370Z GT4.

“The new Vantage looks very strong for 2019, Howard said, “and I am excited to be pairing up with Marco (who returns to the championship after making his full-season debut this year). He showed exceptional place in 2018 on many tracks that were new to him. It’s also good to see Beechdean AMR back to running two cars in British GT.

“As ever it’s going to be a fiercely competitive series but we are planning to be at the sharp end in both categories. Bring on Oulton Park!”

Plowman added: “I’m very excited to be returning to British GT with Kelvin and grateful that I get to continue the great relationship we’ve had so far. Even though we’ll be in a new team with a brand new car we are both hungrier than ever and aim for success from the start.

“Being with a team of Beechdean AMR’s experience and understanding of the Aston Martin marque is a very positive step for me personally and I look forward to being a part of everything next season has to offer. We have a lot of unfinished business in this championship, so I can’t wait to get started!”

Beechdean AMR will debut its new ~Vantage GT3 before next season, the team entering the upcoming Gulf 12 Hours next month on December 15th.
