The planned date for the Kyalami Nine Hour, part of the 2019 Intercontinental GT Challenge is set to be moved to avoid a clash with the Rugby World Cup.
The planned date, 1/3 November, will now be filled by the planned GT Festival at Vallelunga, which, subject to FIA approval will encompass the second edition of the FIA GT Nations Cup as well as a GT4 enduro season finale to replace the event initially planned at Spa the weekend before the 2019 Spa 24 Hours.
The Kyalami 9 Hour will now take place three weeks later on the final Saturday of the same month (23 November). This will avoid a clash with the 2019 Rugby World Cup Final, a key date on the South African sporting calendar.
