Corvette C8.R Caught On Video In Sebring Night Test

No news yet on race debut

With thanks to YouTube’s ‘Lanky Turtle’ here’s an opportunity to see the forthcoming Corvette C8.R in night testing yesterday at Sebring International Raceway.

The new mid-engined car tested over two days at the circuit, back to back with the current Corvette C7.R that will remain the factory’s Pratt & Miller-run full season weapon in next season’s IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship.

There has, as yet, been no official acknowledgement of the new car, nor any confirmation of the timescale for its introduction either in road or race form.

Whilst Corvette Racing confirmed to DSC last month that the C7.R will represent the team through the full 2019 season there is a possibility that the new car could be seen at some races during the season, but only after the road car version is launched.
